Bugs
- The Fortune Teller refers to the Dwarf as «she» even though the Dwarf’s gender in the game data is «undefined» (Content\Data\NPCDispositions.xnb). That’s due to the way the gender check in the code is written, with all non-males defaulting to «she» and no checks for «undefined» genders.
- When playing the fishing mini-game, pressing the button assigned to «use tool» the moment the fish is collected will result in the game glitching and it causes the player to be able to catch another fish. The pole is invisible, however, and the next fish caught is also invisible. There is also extra delay time after collecting the invisible fish. However, the game still gives points.
- When playing the fishing mini-game, the player will appear to be facing the wrong direction, and their appearance will be bugged. The fishing rod will appear to cast in the wrong direction, however, the appearance of the player and direction of the rod are both temporarily corrected while fishing. Once no longer fishing, the bugged appearance returns. This has no impact on the ability to play the game.
- Going behind the clinic can allow the player to see the same message as the one seen when playing the strength game.
Storage Options
Inside Farm Buildings
Kegs can be stored in farm buildings.
A Shed, optimally filled with kegs, holds 67 of them, while occupying only 21 tiles of land. An upgraded Big Shed, optimally filled, holds 137 kegs on the same land space. A Barn, however, is cheaper, and holds 90 kegs on 28 tiles of land. The Deluxe Barn increases building costs considerably, but has so far been shown to be able to fit 136 kegs on the same land space as the initial Barn. Coops are cheaper still, but smaller, permitting fewer kegs per tile of external farmland used. Cabins are the cheapest initially, occupy the smallest land area of 15 tiles, but can only hold 42 kegs without upgrades, assuming the cabin is unclaimed and the parsnips and bed must remain. The first level of upgraded cabin can hold 113 kegs at a lower cost than any other option. While the second upgrade significantly raises costs, 351 kegs can be stored in a fully renovated cabin, allowing the largest number of kegs per external farmland used.
Outside The Farm
- See also:
Kegs can be stored almost anywhere outside the farm. Out of the way places are best as NPCs walking through a keg will destroy it. Other good options not pictured are the Desert and the Railroad.

Seeds
Craftable seasonal wild seeds will grow the fruits/vegetables/flowers normally found as forage during the season. Craftable Ancient Seeds will grow Ancient Fruit. Craftable Grass Starter acts the same as that purchased from Pierre’s General Store; once planted, it will grow and spread grass on the Farm.
Note: Growing seasonal wild seeds will often destroy the tilled soil (and fertilizer), leaving untilled soil in their place after harvest.

Enchantments
A random enchantment can be added to any weapon or tool, with the exceptions of the Copper Pan, Return Scepter, Scythe, and Golden Scythe. This costs one Prismatic Shard and 20 Cinder Shards.
Each weapon or tool can only have one enchantment, and the applied enchantment is random. However, another Prismatic Shard can be used to re-randomize it. Tools track the previous two enchantments applied to them so they’re not reselected when reapplying an enchantment.
Upgrading Tools will not remove enchantments already on them.
Enchantments are randomized based on the number of times any tool has been enchanted, so reloading the day and enchanting a different tool will change the progression.
Combat enchantments
Only applies to melee weapons (can’t be applied to a slingshot)
Name | Effect |

Artful | 50% cooldown on special moves. (Stacks multiplicatively with Acrobat for a total of 75% cooldown reduction.) |

Haymaker | More fiber is earned when collecting weeds. Also a chance to collect hay. Cutting weeds has a 50% chance of also dropping a fiber, and 33% chance of extra hay (directly into silo on farm, else into inventory). |

Stardew Valley.

Upgrades
You can upgrade your tools at the in exchange for gold and metal bars, with upgrades taking two days to complete. During the upgrade, you can’t buy anything or ask Clint to break open geodes. Tools must be upgraded in ascending order of materials; for example, a copper tool can’t be upgraded directly to iridium.
Tips:
- The practical meaning of an upgrade «taking two days to complete» is that you will wake up on two successive days without your tool. You may use the tool during the day, then take it to the Blacksmith (before it closes) to upgrade. The next day you will be without your tool. The following day, you must travel to the Blacksmith to pick up the tool, and can use it for the remainder of the day.
- When a tool has completed upgrading, a message will appear in the lower left corner of the screen when waking up for the day.

Artifacts
This tab keeps track of the type and amount of Artifacts collected. Entries are added upon finding the artifact. The artifact does not need to be donated to the Museum or shipped via the shipping box to count towards the collection.
Note that artifacts found in , obtained by tilling soil in the mines, or found in Artifact Troves may not appear as found on the collections tab. Dragging the artifact outside the inventory window and allowing it to be taken back into inventory may correct this. Holding the artifact in inventory overnight may also correct this.
Note also that artifacts’ descriptions appear on the collections tab as soon as they are found, even while the inventory description says «Gunther can tell you more about this if you donate it to the museum.»
