History[]
| “ | The early-modern Swedish state first emerged during the 16th century when, after decades of tension between the monarchy and nobility, Gustav I Vasa (1496-1560, r. 1523-1560) ascended to the throne. His greatest contribution to the state was emancipating it from mercantile domination at the hands of the Hanseatic League, a trading organization based in Germany that had essentially monopolized overseas trade in the Baltic and, to a lesser extent, the North Sea. Consequently, the Swedish peasantry flourished and the region entered a period of economic prosperity. This period of state formation coincided with the Protestant Reformation, which incited vitriolic and sinister tension between Protestants and Catholics. While temporarily suffering due to recurring violence accompanying the ebb and flow of Reformation and Counter-Reformation, Sweden was soon established as a Protestant state when Karl IX (r. 1604-1611) deposed his rival Sigismund III, From this point onward, Sweden became heavily involved in the politics and religious conflicts of the continent.Under Karl’s successor, Gustavus Adolphus (1594-1632; r. 1611-1632), Sweden entered a golden age. Despite ascending to the throne at age 16 and being saddled with three inherited wars, Gustavus managed to stabilize his realm, concluding several largely favorable treaties and implementing a series of political, economic, and social reforms to secure domestic welfare while his military reforms revolutionized the Swedish army and navy. The combination of mobile field artillery with mobile cavalry and aggressive, versatile infantry tactics made the Swedish army deadly in battle. When Gustavus intervened in the Thirty Years’ War, not only did he salvage the Protestant cause; he even managed to conquer much of the Holy Roman Empire before dying in battle in 1632.Over the following decades, Sweden’s success on the battlefield in Scandinavia and in continental Europe led to the establishment of the Swedish Empire. During this time, Swedish migrants attempted the settlement of Africa and the Americas, but with marginal success. Overextended to begin with, their overseas possessions were swiftly lost or sold, most notably New Sweden in the Delaware River Valley, which was seized by the Dutch by 1655. Temporary instability was resolved by the powerful monarchs Karl XI (r. 1660-1697) and Karl XII (r. 1697-1718), who revived an economy weary from decades of warfare and further reformed the Swedish military into the fearsome Carolean army, an elite and versatile military force that conducted several successful campaigns into Russia and Poland-Lithuania.Despite the catastrophic Great Famine of 1695-1697, Sweden continued to expand, but was halted in the early 18th century by a staunch Russian defense that utilized scorched earth tactics and the brutal Russian winter to deadly effect. The Swedish Empire subsequently lost control of most of its overseas possessions. In an effort to reassert its control over the western reaches of the Baltic Sea, Sweden allied itself with the anti-French coalition during the Napoleonic Wars, managing to seize control of Norway in 1814. This marked the end of Swedish expansionism, however, as neutrality was pursued thenceforth while Sweden endeavored to industrialize and modernize its economic and political structure. A notable byproduct of these processes was the mass emigration of Swedes to the United States of America, where citizens of Swedish ancestry still constitute a considerable minority of the population. | ” |

aoe3 revised

Создатель: Revised Mod Team
Overview[]
Their main civilization bonus comes in the shape of their unique house, Kancha Houses, which support 16 population and passively produce food (although it does cost 180 wood). The Inca also receive a free Chasqui with each age which can construct Tambos, the powerful Incan Trading Posts which support 5 population and may garrison Villagers for extra damage. Similarly, military units may be garrisoned in Kallankas and Strongholds, two of the Inca’s unique buildings. They also have access to the unique unit Priestess, which, although expensive (300 gold), can convert enemies and work at the Community Plaza.
The Inca also possess two unique ceremonies they may perform at the Community Plaza, the Moon Ceremony (which generates wood over time) and the Supay Ceremony (which spawns Macemen).
They appear to be similar to the Aztec civilization, with all infantry units trained at the War Hut and Kallanka, which appears to be the Incan counterpart of the Nobles’ Hut. Priestesses are also similar to Warrior Priests as they may also work at the Community Center. The unique units of the Incan are also often similar to the Aztec and perform the same role.
The Incan can however also train all their units from their Stronghold, which seems to be the Incan equivalent of a Fort. The Stronghold and Kallanka also plays the role of a military garrison points excluding the garrisoned units population from the population census if garrissoned within a Kallanka or boosting the Stronghold’s attack if garrisoned within a Stronghold.
Простое решение тормозов в AoE3
- Скачайте и запустите всемирно известный CCleaner (скачать по прямой ссылке) — это программа, которая очистит ваш компьютер от ненужного мусора, в результате чего система станет работать быстрее после первой же перезагрузки;
- Обновите все драйверы в системе с помощью программы Driver Updater (скачать по прямой ссылке) — она просканирует ваш компьютер и обновит все драйверы до актуальной версии за 5 минут;
- Установите программу WinOptimizer (скачать по прямой ссылке) и включите в ней игровой режим, который завершит бесполезные фоновые процессы во время запуска игр и повысит производительность в игре.
Unction[]
The «Unction» Home City Card (added with The WarChiefs expansion), available for a level 40 Spanish Home City, gives Missionaries an aura that increases the attack of Spanish units in a radius of 24 around them by 4.5%, and stacks with each other. Note that the extra attack is added to the unit’s current attack, not its base attack, making it exceptionally powerful. The aura only affects units directly under the Spanish player’s control; allied units (whether human or AI) and the Missionaries themselves are not affected, but the aura does affect ships as well.
Since the Unction aura does not increase hit points, the enemy may sometimes use hit-and-run tactics or units with large splash damage. Therefore, Missionaries’ greatest defense are their Unction aura, their speed with Mission Fervor, and their armies’ line of sight using the «TEAM Inquisition» card and the Town Watch improvement.

In-game dialogue[]
These Japanese words or sentences spoken in this game are grammatically correct and generally standard with no particular regional dialect, but some of them are old-fashioned or pronounced with a foreign accent. The accents and styles of the language spoken by Japanese units are as follows:
- The female villager speaks modern standardized Japanese with some non-standard (apparently foreign) accent.
- The male villager speaks modern standardized Japanese with a standard Tokyo accent.
- The Ikko-Ikki speaks a kind of typically theatrical and conventional Japanese which is characterized by its old-fashioned word usage and its stylized pronunciation of words. The style of the language spoken by the monk is like that of Jidaigeki, a genre of film and television drama that depicts the life of Japan in pre-modern times. The monk sometimes speaks with the copula ja (じゃ), which, if used by a fictional character (and not as a regional dialect), usually signifies that the speaker is an old or archaic person, especially male one.
- Military units, including Daimyo and , speak a kind of theatrical Japanese characterized by its old-fashioned word usage. Some of them speak with a standard accent, while others speak with some non-standard accent.

Civilization differences[]
- As seen above, British and Ottomans can upgrade Hussars to Royal Guard and Imperial Guard.
- The Germans can ship 10 Guard Hussars named Winged Hussar through the «Polish Winged Hussars» Home City Card.
- The Russians cannot train Hussars but can ship 17 Guard Hussars through Bashkir Ponies.
- Knights of St. John can only upgrade Hussars to Veteran.
- United States in the Act III: Steel campaign can upgrade Hussars to the Imperial.
-
Chinese and Indians can get Hussars by allying with British, Ottomans, and Russians at the Consulate, which provides armies and technologies that includes Hussars (named Life Guard for the British, Bostanci for the Ottomans, Bashkir for the Russians) listed below. These Hussars start with +10% hit points and attack than their regular counterpart, and are automatically upgraded in every Age starting from the Fortress Age (see for the exact values).
- British (Chinese and Indians): British Expeditionary Army (6 Hussars)
- Ottomans (Indians, requires a level 40 Home City): Ottoman Expeditionary Company and Ottoman Expeditionary Force (3 Hussars)
- Russians (Chinese): Russian Brigade (15 Hussars)
- The Incas can get Hussars through the «Tupac Rebellion» Home City Card, which turns Chimu Runners into Guard Hussars.
Civilization differences[]
- (Definitive Edition) Choosing The Papal Guard to advance into the Industrial Age automatically upgrades Crossbowman to Guard (Royal Guard for the Portuguese) and allows them to be upgraded to Imperial.
- Before the Definitive Edition, the Portuguese have Besteiros, which upgrades their Crossbowmen to Veteran (if not already) and gives them +30% hit points and attack, and renames them to Besteiro.
- However, the Swedes are the only civilization with access to Crossbowman who cannot upgrade them beyond Veteran, even with The Papal Guard.
- Indians and Japanese can get Crossbowmen by allying with the Portuguese, which provides Portuguese Expeditionary Company and Portuguese Expeditionary Force that includes 7 and 10 Crossbowmen (named Ordinance Besteiro) respectively. These Crossbowmen start with +10% hit points and attack than their regular counterpart, and are automatically upgraded in each Age starting from the Fortress Age (see for the exact values).
Trivia[]
- The Spanish flag shown in the game is the Cross of Burgundy Flag, which was used by the Spanish Empire between 1506–1842.
- Torre Del Oro (the Wonder for the Spanish in Age of Empires II: The Conquerors) reappears in the Spanish Home City.
- The Cathedral in the Home City of Seville is inaccurately based on the Florence Cathedral. The same cathedral is also depicted in the Portuguese Home City of Lisbon. This has been corrected in the Definitive Edition for the Portuguese, where they get the appropriate Lisbon Cathedral; however, the same model is also reused inaccurately in the Spanish Home City.
- Before the Definitive Edition, the Spanish were the only civilization that could upgrade their Pikemen beyond the Veteran level.
- The Spanish AI personality appears as one of the AI player names of the Spanish in Age of Empires II: The Conquerors.
