Usage[]

Locating strongholds

An animation of an eye of ender shattering.

To locate strongholds (and the end portals they house):

• Pressing use while holding an eye of ender causes it to fly approximately 12 blocks in the direction of the nearest stronghold, traveling through any blocks necessary, and leave a trail of purple particles, the same particle effect used for endermen and ender chests.
  • The eye leads to the chunk where a spiral staircase, the first room generated in the stronghold, is located.
  • The center of this entrance staircase is always exactly at the chunk coordinates 4, ~, 4, although the eyes of ender leads to chunk coordinates 8-9, ~, 8-9 (the center of the chunk).
• While over 12 blocks away from the center of the staircase chunk, the eye will travel upward to offer an easily-visible indication of the horizontal direction the player must travel.
• When closer than 12 blocks from the center of the staircase chunk, the eye will travel downward, to indicate the player is above a stronghold and must mine downward.
• After two or three seconds of travel, the eye floats in the air briefly, then either falls (becoming collectable again) or shatters in mid-air. The eye has a 20% chance of shattering. The expected number of throws until an eye shatters is five throws.
• The eye of ender’s flying function works only in the Overworld. It does nothing in the Nether, the End, custom dimensions[verify], or in worlds with no strongholds.

Activating end portals

An End Portal activated with eyes of ender.

Once an end portal is found, the eyes of ender are required to activate it. End portals require a total of 12 eyes of ender in order to activate, though each individual frame-block has a 10% chance of containing an eye of ender when generated. Eyes can be placed in empty End portal frames by pressing use on them until the entire ring of 12 is filled, thereby activating the portal. Due to the fact that there is a 10% chance of each individual end portal frame having an eye in it, there is a one out of one trillion chance of every frame having an eye in it thereby activating the portal even if the player doesn’t have any eyes of ender.

Жемчуг Края отличается следующими интересными особенностями: 

• с его помощью можно довольно легко и быстро убраться из Нижнего мира;
• если бросить предмет и погибнуть до момента его приземления, то труп вашего персонажа будет телепортирован в место падения жемчуга;
• если перед жемчугом Края стоит стеклянная стена в толщину до 1 блока, предмет без проблем пролетит сквозь нее;

Прежде чем попасть в Край, игрок должен найти крепость с помощью ока, которое при выбрасывании показывает направление к ближайшему порталу. В крепости находится комната с порталом, который состоит из 12 рамок, расположенных в форме квадратного кольца. Портал находится над лавовым бассейном, к которому можно подняться по ступеням. На последней ступени стоит спаунер чешуйниц — чтобы появляющиеся противники не докучали игроку, ему нужно разрушить его. Поскольку портал изначально не работает, игроку следует поместить до 12 очей в рамки, в зависимости от того, сколько рамок было заполнено изначально. После того, как все рамки будут заполнены, портал активируется с характерным звуком. Выпустить Endermite и начать фермерство

• Ender pearls can be used to teleport/move through non-solid blocks without suffocation and solid blocks by pressing against the blocks and using the ender pearl at the player’s feet until the player goes through.
• In Java Edition It is possible to spawn a thrown ender pearl using commands, but it does not teleport, displaying only the ender pearl sprite and disappearing.
• If the player throws an ender pearl and then dies before impact while the pearl is in a loaded chunk, the pearl disappears and the player is not teleported. Pearls in unloaded chunks do not disappear if their owner dies.

L’œil de l’Ender ainsi obtenu est utilisé pour découvrir la position des forts qui contiennent les portails de l’End permettant d’accéder à l’End.

Téléportation

Lancer la perle d’un clic droit téléporte le joueur là où elle retombe. Cependant, celui-ci perd 5 points de vie et la perle est détruite. Porter des pièces d’armure enchantées avec Protection ou Chute amortie réduit la quantité des dégâts reçus par le joueur.
Les perles de l’Ender possèdent un délai de chargement de 1 seconde. Le temps de chargement est visible par le biais d’une superposition blanche sur l’objet dans la barre d’inventaire.

Si le joueur possède moins ou autant de points de vie que de dégâts infligés par la téléportation, il mourra. How It Works

An Endergenic Generator has three modes: idle, charging and holding. Starting from an idle state, upon receiving a Redstone signal, the generator will begin to charge. No RF power is required for this charging. If an Ender Pearl lands on the generator while it is charging, two things happen: RF energy is produced and the generator begins holding the pearl. While it is holding a pearl, the generator consumes energy. When a second Redstone signal is received, the generator will fire the pearl at the next generator in the loop, then it will return to an Idle state. By arranging Endergenic Generators and linking them in a loop structure, a single pearl can be transferred from generator to generator, producing energy along the way.

The challenge in Endergenic power generation is coordinating the signals required to charge and fire the pearls at the right time. The ideal moment for an Ender Pearl to arrive is 10 ticks after the Endergenic Generator begins charging. Arriving early or late will significantly reduce the amount of power generated. The longer an Endergenic Generator holds onto a pearl, the more power it consumes, thus the lower the efficiency of the system overall. Additionally, Ender Pearls are fragile gems and can only tolerate the stresses of repeated firing for so long. Eventually they’ll shatter and disintegrate. Fortunately, there are a few things that help us. Ender Pearls travel at a known speed, Endergenic Generators have been designed to operate in a simple and predictable manner, and the Ender Monitor can be used to send trigger signals to other generators.

Trivia[]

• When thrown in third-person view, the eyes of ender fly out from the player’s feet instead of their hand.
• Before Java Edition 1.9, eyes of ender can be purchased from cleric villagers, which means players can find a stronghold and go to the End without accessing the Nether at all.
• In Bedrock Edition if the player travels beyond a certain radius (roughly 740,000 blocks), eyes of ender always point to a stronghold near spawn, even though strongholds continue to generate past this limit. If one travels to this limit, they can see eyes of ender suddenly switching direction. A similar phenomenon occurs with the command.
• In Java Edition snapshot 21w37a, an issue caused no strongholds to generate in the world.
