Ryu’s primary moveset is the Hadoken; overcharging the Hadoken sets the opponents on fire. His Tatsumaki Senpuukyaku allows him to dodge projectiles at the start of the spin, but is comparatively weaker than that of Ken’s, as Ryu can only hit an opponent once using the move. However, using the EX Combo move allows Ryu to execute a stationary but powerful Tatsumaki Senpuukyaku, hitting the opponent five times; the same principle also applies to his Shoryuken move. Although Ryu and Ken share the same moveset, the kick moves and Shoryuken executed by Ryu are comparatively weaker to Ken’s, although Ryu’s Hadoken is more powerful than that of Ken’s.

• Tekken — direct-to-video фильм якобы «по мотивам» игры. Общее с игрой — только название и внешность некоторых бойцов. Явился нехилой пыткой увеболлом для многих фанатов. Фильм сам по себе средний боевик с размером сюжета, сопоставимым с сюжетом первого DOOM’а. Имеет сиквел, который даже хуже, чем первый фильм. • Tekken: Blood Vengeance — полнометражное CG-аниме, рассказывающее о событиях между Tekken 5 и Tekken 6. An Interpol detective that continues to track Shadaloo in order to learn the truth about her father’s whereabouts. While she stands firm against the forces of evil, she is also a cheerful, innocent, and stunningly beautiful woman.

Appearance

Chun-Li wears the blue qipao, a Chinese dress imported over from Manchuria, yet popular among girls during the early 20th century. Her outfit is modified to allow a far wider range of movement than a normal qipao. She also wears white combat boots and blue leotard with dark brown sheer pantyhose with her qipao. Her qipao is blue with golden accents. She was originally supposed to wear a peach-colored qipao, as seen in her in-game profile and ending in the original Street Fighter II. She is known for her very muscular thighs. She is 5 feet 6 1/2 inches according to her Street Fighter Alpha 3 biography. Her hairstyle is called «ox horns», a typical style in which Chinese children dress their hair; depictions of girls in Chinese paintings frequently show girls in ox horns.

Personality

Chun-Li is generally a cheerful (occasionally princess-like) and serious woman. She is often happy and excited when she wins a fight, but hates being defeated. As part of her job as a cop, she takes it very serious, and will do her best to complete a mission. When it comes to fighting, Chun-Li tends to get quite competitive with her opponents, but after fighting most of them, she may become allies or even befriend them. She also wants to continue to grow stronger, due to past experiences fighting her most powerful foe M.Bison.

Особенности Теккена[править]

В результате геймеры-файтеры всего мира признают лучшим трёхмерным файтингом двухтысячных именно Теккен. И вполне заслуженно, ведь:

• Теккен имел простейшую боевую систему:
  • 4 кнопки, по одной под каждую конечность;
  • очень простые в исполнении удары и спецудары (практически отсутствовали «прокручивания» aka «ротации» как в SF);
  • ядрёные комбо (для лупцевания противника оными не требовалось подходить в упор, как в МК).
• Любой новичок, впервые севший за игру, за несколько минут осваивал её и проходил, так как в игре был адекватный баланс сложности (easy проходился за пару минут, very hard без хорошего знания игры не осилить).
• Игроков-профи тоже не обидели: для них изобрели сложные 10-ударные комбо и систему контрударов и оглушений (stuns, «станов»), а позже и усилили джаггловую составляющую.
• Боевые стили детально продуманы и разнообразны: в самых ранних частях уже имелись перехваты и элементы борьбы в партере. Естественно, были и клоны «боевых икон» — Брюса Ли, Джеки Чана и т. д. Карате было похоже на карате, тхэквондо на тхэквондо, рестлеры принесли свои приёмы прямиком из WWF. Здоровье, как и в реале, полностью вышибалось из оппонента с двух-трёх мощных связок, более того, каждый боец имел мощный «суперудар-накопилку», способную снести всю энергию разом.
• Разработчики всегда особенно любовно подходили к творческому процессу, выжимая из консоли все соки и мощности. Посему с третьей части игра всегда рулила по графике, скорости и производительности, имела красивые видеозаставки и опенинги за всех персонажей; также хватало места и для миниигр и приколов. Апофеозом этого стала пятая часть, которую разрабы вложили всё что могли, оставив по вышеописанным параметрам остальные драчки далеко позади. И это в том же году, в каком Эд Бун жаловался: «ах, не смог я сделать Армагеддон крутым по графону и впилить все фаталки и заставки, помешали мощности консоли и маленькое место на диске!»
• Начиная со второй части, разработчики с различной степенью успеха стали пытаться развить сюжет игры и раскрыть персонажей.
• C каждой частью возрастал фансервис

Основными претензиями к Теккену были пониженная кровавость (кровь в виде лёгкого малозаметного красного облачка при ударе) и отсутствие ядрёных суперударов, что было объяснено относительным реализмом. А кроме того: Теккен был эксклюзивом для Sony вплоть до шестой части.

Интересные факты[править]

• Кацухиро Харада 10 лет скрывал от своих родителей, что он создатель серии Tekken. В беседе с журналистами журнала EDGE разоткровенничался и поведал о том, что он на протяжении 10 лет скрывал свою работу от родителей из-за боязни того, что они сочтут Tekken неприемлемой и слишком жестокой игрой. В итоге, спустя почти 10 лет после выхода первой части Tekken родители Харады узнали о причастности своего сына к знаменитой файтинг-серии. Они увидели сына на обложке игрового журнала с рекламой Tekken 5.

  • В консольную трёшку впилили угарного жёлтого динозаврика Gon’а из японской детской манги. Да, да, в качестве полноценного играбельного персонажа, способного навалять хоть самому Хэйхати. А ещё Gon пускал газы… Никаких шуток, это вполне серьёзный приём означенного ящера.
  • С появлением кастомизации стали возможны скрытые фортеля с оружием типа катаны, молота и прочих сковородок, снимающим противнику разом всё здоровье.
• Существует кроссоверный файтинг для PS1, он называется Ehrgeiz: God Bless The Ring. В нём, кроме специфичных для него персонажей, присутствуют персы из седьмой части Final Fantasy и наёмник Кен Мисима по прозвищу «Рука Бога». Кен похож на Дзина и Кадзую из Tekken, только светловолосый и вместо правой руки у него протез. Всё дело в том что файтинг создавался совместно компаниями Namco и Square Enix.
• Российскому народу в конце 1990-х — начале 2000-х крепко врезалась в память и в душу горе-локализация, которую безвестные пираты учинили над версией Т3 для PS1. Там были своевольно переименованы все персонажи: Пола Феникса назвали «Иван» (за сходство с Иваном Драго из «Рокки»), ниндзя Ёсимицу получил кличку «Скайвокер» (видимо из-за светящегося меча), Gon’а назвали… «Ти-Рекс» (?!), и тому подобное. Многие «а-я-тоже-файтер»-ы попались в ловушку — они не знали, не ведали других имен персонажей, кроме пиратской отсебятины из этой поделки, и искренне удивлялись, когда кто-то называл персонажа правильно. Пиратская версия Tekken 5 из-за идиотской транскрипции превратила Devil Jin в Дебил Джин.

Story[]

Background

Ogre is a war weapon left on earth by aliens in ancient times. It is unknown if Ogre is one of their species or simply a living weapon. He was sleeping in a temple in Mexico when he was awaken by Heihachi’s Tekken Force, and destroyed them all. Ogre attacked many world-renowned martial arts masters around the world and absorbed their ki and abilities into his own being. Ogre eventually makes his way towards Yakushima, where Jun and Jin Kazama live. Ogre finds them and attacks, knocking out Jin who later awakes to find his home destroyed and Ogre and Jun nowhere to be found.

Tekken 3

As bait to lure Ogre into the open, Heihachi announces the King of Iron Fist Tournament 3 five years later. Ogre shows up and is defeated by Paul Phoenix. However, Ogre morphs into its true form and the tournament continues. Ogre eventually confronts Jin and they clash in battle. Jin emerges victorious and Ogre is defeated.

Devil Within mode

After Jin leaves the Hon-Maru after the final battle in the King of Iron Fist Tournament 4, he hears rumours that his mother is still alive at G Corporation. When Jin travels to their labs, he finds no trace of his mother, but instead discovers Ogre there. In the ruins of an ancient temple beneath the labs, Jin battles Ogre once again. Ogre flees to a deeper part of the ruins with Jin in hot pursuit. In the deeper ruins, Jin encounters a giant contraption that uses a large white orb to attack. After Jin destroys this, it is revealed that he has unwittingly broken the seal containing Ogre. Jin battles True Ogre once again, but when he wins it reveals yet another transformation. Despite its new advantages, Jin still triumphs, and destroys Ogre once and for all.

It is still debated whether the events in Devil Within are canon or not but it is generaly assumed not.

Trivia[]

• Cole’s self in this game is his Neutral self.
• Cole is the only character in the game who is voiced only in English. Every other character is voiced in both English and Japanese, with some exceptions like Yoshimitsu who is only voiced in Japanese, or Ogre, who is not voiced at all, much like the other animal voice characters like King and Kuma

  However, he does have a Japanese voice actor outside this game, as to why Capcom didn’t have his Japanese voice actor in the game remained unknown.

• Cole, Toro and Kuro are the only characters that have no story, as they are unplayable in Arcade Mode.
• Cole is the only PS3 exclusive character that does not have a special theme music.
• When Cole enters into Pandora Mode, he will glow bright red instead of purple. This is a homage to inFAMOUS’s Karma system, where Cole’s lightning powers will glow blue if he does heroic things, otherwise it’ll glow red if does evil deeds. He even yells «Karmic Overload» after activating it. Karmic Overload is a power in InFamous

  It could be implied that Cole becomes his evil counterpart if he uses Pandora, since his electrical attacks become red and since he is willing to sacrifice his partner in order to win the battle.

• Most of Cole’s powers appear from inFamous 2, though the Lightning Hook wasn’t a power normally available to Cole in the game. It was a DLC power.
• Cole, like a few other Street Fighter characters, hasn’t had any formal training in fighting.

  Sakura’s win quote against Cole has her wondering if he lived in the jungle, since that’s how Blanka acquired his electrical powers.

• It is unknown in which side Cole is supposed to be, Street Fighter or Tekken. In the character select screen, Street Fighter portraits have blue borders, Tekken portraits have red borders, but Cole’s portrait is grey. When activating Cross Assault as Cole, it will always play the Street Fighter/Tekken Cross Assault music regardless of which side his partner is from, and the Street Fighter/Tekken victory music is always played when he wins. However, in Trial mode, Ryu appears as his dummy.
• Cole also appears in another crossover game called PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.

Также у каждого персонажа имеется по одному спецприёму, который может быть заряжен в улучшенный спецприём либо суперприём без расхода на это энергетической шкалы. В отличие от командного режима в большинстве других файтингов Capcom, где для победы требуется повергнуть всех имеющихся оппонентов, в SFxT этот аспект боя больше родственен Tekken Tag Tournament, где игрок терпит поражение в раунде в случае нанесения нокаута одному из его бойцов; таким образом, победа в бою присуждается одержавшему таковую в большинстве раундов.

Командный элемент в Street Fighter X Tekken выражен в очень сильной форме; игрок может различным образом переключаться между своими бойцами. Использование же режима Пандоры — второй из означенных механик — становится возможным при наличии менее чем 25 процентов от здоровья одного из бойцов в команде; при активации режим Пандоры активный боец в команде «жертвует» собой, а оставшийся в обмен получает повышенные показатели урона и постоянно восполняемую шкалу Cross Gauge. Biography

A cold-blooded killer who has awakened the power of the devil. Supporting the G Corporation from behind the scenes, he works in secret to reacquire the Mishima Zaibatsu. An arrogant and brutal man, he has fought countless times against his father, Heihachi, and his son, Jin.

Appearance

Kazuya’s clothing of choice, simple white pants, and red gloves and footpads, and his hair pulled back. His left eye glows bright red (due to the Devil Gene in his body), and he has several scars across his body, including a large scar that goes diagonally across his chest.

Personality

Because Kazuya sold his soul to the Devil years ago after, after destroying his father (or so he thought), Kazuya repeated the corrupt practices of his father and turned the Mishima Zaibatsu into an even more ruthless organization, absolutely without conscience or remorse for his actions. He hired assassins to eliminate any of his critics & rivals, he attempted to extort money from several businesses & organizations, and he even smuggled endangered species and conducted genetic experiments on them.

Kazuya still had goodness within his heart, which constantly battled his dark side, though this would turn out to be his downfall after merging with his Devil Gene. He is a ruthless, heartless, cold-blooded person with no sense of honor in or outside of a fight and he has a lust for power that has no limits. Kazuya will destroy anyone or anything who attempts to get in his way in his quest for world conquest and power.

History and gender controversy[]

Poison’s first appearance in Final Fight featured her and a palette swap character named Roxy as recurring minor enemies for the player to fight. Named after the band by an unnamed female employee at Capcom, she was designed by Akira Yasuda to contrast against the bigger characters in the game and move about randomly. According to the book All About Capcom Head to Head Fighting Games, the characters were originally planned to be cisgender women, but it was believed they were changed to transgender women due to the suggestion that «hitting women was considered rude» in America and the concern that feminist groups would sue. However, Poison’s original concept artwork already referred to her as a «newhalf», meaning that she was never intended to be cis.

A later appearance by Poison as playable character in Final Fight Revenge, an American-produced 3D fighting game spinoff of Final Fight, portrayed the character in a highly feminine manner and had her romantically interested in Final Fight hero Cody. Commentary about her ending in the game in All About Capcom suggested that the character may have received a sex change. The Final Fight-related character profiles featured in the 2005 compilation Capcom Classics Collection acknowledges Poison’s transgender characterization.

The discrepancy regarding Poison has been addressed more than once in interviews with former and current Capcom employees. Final Fight developer and founder Akira Nishitani stated he supposed the character could be male but added it was up to the viewer to decide. Street Fighter IV’s producer Yoshinori Ono, when asked in an interview about the matter, stated «Let’s set the record straight: in North America, Poison is officially a post-op transsexual. But in Japan, he simply tucks his business away to look female.» He later emphasized it again when asked about what female characters could be included in the game Street Fighter IV, stating that it would be too confusing to include her due to the region-specific gender.

Also, in early developements of Street Fighter X Tekken, footage was shown of Ryu and Chun-Li’s win quotes to Poison. Ryu said, «Your looks really can be deceiving. I’ll be careful not to fall into your trap.» Chun-Li then said, «You’re not very lady-like at all! I felt like I was fighting against a guy.» After the footage was shown, LGBT rights groups contacted Capcom about Ryu and Chun-Li’s win quotes to Poison, stating that it was really offensive to them and many other LGBT members. Capcom then changed Ryu and Chun-Li’s win quotes to not revolve around Poison’s gender.

Xiaoyu wears an orange sleeveless modified qipao with white feathers on both of her shoulders, a white shorts with black and yellow lines in both sides on her shorts and an orange tutu shoes with black line designs.

This outfit is a minor change outfit from Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection from pink to orange and becomes her primary outfit in Tekken 6 until it became as one of her customizations in Tekken 7.

Personality

Xiaoyu appears to be childish, energetic and friendly to her schoolmates including Miharu and Jin and later Alisa. During the events in Tekken 6, her role becomes similar to Jun Kazama and wants to save Jin from being evil while in Scenario Campaign as the boss in Mishima Polytechnic, Xiaoyu shows her concern to Jin and does not want him to make any awful things as the latter does not want her concern and angrily makes her to fight him stating that she will not take it as his answer and he’s not going anywhere. 

In Street Fighter X Tekken, Xiaoyu maintains her childish and energetic personality but being obnoxious to other female fighters that she needs to face. During their rival battle, She shows to be angry to both Chun-Li and Cammy to think they will seduce Jin with their tramp clothes and to steal it from her. But Chun-Li introduces to Jin in a flirtatious manner making herself angry further as Jin halts her to stop of what she was doing but roars like a cat to them when Jin tells them that he’s not interested to their warrants.

Story[]

Tekken

As head of the Manji party, Yoshimitsu entered the King of Iron Fist Tournament as a distraction, to allow the Manji to steal the tournament’s funds unobserved. Whilst participating, Yoshimitsu encountered Ganryu, a corrupt sumo wrestler. Contemptuous of Ganryu’s disrespect for the sumo code, Yoshimitsu stole Ganryu’s ill gotten money and gave it to the poor.

Tekken 2

Yoshimitsu learned that a scientist named Boskonovitch, who once saved his life, had been abducted by Kazuya Mishima. To rescue Boskonovitch, he entered the King of Iron Fist Tournament 2. At the end of the tournament, Yoshimitsu sees a white helicopter is shown flying away with Boskonovitch in it. Yoshimitsu jumps onto the helicopter and breaks the windshield, grabs Doctor Boskonovitch and jumps out of the helicopter. Yoshimitsu uses his prosthetic arm and his sword to hover as the helicopter explodes in the background.

Tekken 3

Boskonovitch created the Cold Sleep machine during his experiments in his search for eternal life. The still unproven technology was used to preserve his young daughter, who suddenly passed away. Yoshimitsu raised research funds as the leader of the Manji party. Yoshimitsu visited Boskonovitch when he learned of the many martial artist disappearances. Yoshimitsu was surprised to find Boskonovitch suffering from a mysterious pathological organism. Boskonovitch claims he needs blood from Ogre to live. Indebted to Boskonovitch for saving his life, Yoshimitsu enters the tournament to help an old friend, and manages to get a sample of Ogre’s blood after the tournament.

Tekken 4

As the leader of the Manji Party, Yoshimitsu dedicated himself to providing food, medical assistance, and shelter to the ever-increasing number of political refugees around the world, but with a constant lack of necessary funding and manpower, Yoshimitsu was unsure about the future of his organization. When Yoshimitsu heard about The King of Iron Fist Tournament 4, he envisioned a union between the Manji Party and the Mishima Zaibatsu. With this dream in mind, Yoshimitsu decides to enter the Tournament immediately. While breaking into the Mishima Zaibatsu’s vault, he found an injured Bryan Fury and helped him escape.

Tekken 5

A month later, Yoshimitsu visits Dr. Boskonovitch’s lab to find his comrades dead at the hands of Bryan. Learning Bryan will fight in The King Of Iron Fist Tournament 5, Yoshimitsu sharpens his sword and enters the fray to get his revenge. Yoshimitsu’s repeated attacks hindered Bryan’s tests and hopes of unlocking its ultimate power of the perpetual generator.

Tekken 6

While trying to avenge his fallen Manji clan comrades, Yoshimitsu realizes that his sword is weakening. His cursed sword retained its power by killing evil doers and villains, otherwise the cursed sword will make the user go insane. Yoshimitsu realizes that he can no longer use his old sword and decides to use another blade called Fumaken, that seals the properties of the cursed sword. He then decides to enter The King of Iron Fist Tournament 6.
