Игровой процесс
Вместе с последним обновлением в игру был добавлен античит. Теперь абсолютно никто не сможет пользоваться кодами для улучшения собственных способностей, оружия и тд. Потому что раньше из-за этого сервер постоянно вылетал и ломался. Таким образом, теперь будет полноценная равная игра между всеми участниками сражения. Также, была произведена оптимизация всего внутриигрового процесса. Это значит, что будет меньше глюков и различных багов. Нередко машины и сами персонажи застревали в текстурах. Теперь этого не должно быть. Естественно полностью от всех проблем избавиться невозможно, поэтому некоторые недочеты все же видны, но их стало гораздо меньше. Разработчики сумели улучшить синхронизацию каждого игрока, что делает игровой процесс очень комфортным и привлекательным. И если раньше во время сражения игрок мог нажать на паузу, чтобы его не убили, то теперь эта функция стала недоступной.

Linux
Building MTA:SA is only supported on 64-bit Linux OSes. You can however cross-compile a 32-bit version using gcc-multilib.

- Run to build the 32-bit server and to build the 64-bit server (or use instead of to run an unoptimized debug build)

Linux: Docker Build Environment
If you have problems resolving the required dependencies or want maximum compatibility, you can use our dockerized build environment that ships all needed dependencies. We also use this environment to build the official binaries.

If the current directory is a valid git repository clone, it will use this as the build source. If not, it will create a (shallow) clone. After compiling, you will find the resulting binaries in .
To build the unoptimised debug build, add to the docker run arguments.

Installing the server
The dedicated server application is available in different flavours depending on the platform of the server.
Linux installation
There are different ways of getting a Linux server up and running:

FreeBSD installation
You can run MTA:SA under FreeBSD using Linux emulation.
- Install following packages or compile them from ports: hs-terminfo, linux_base-f10, linux-f10-sqlite3
Windows installation
Installation of the MTA:SA server on Windows is easy as pie.
- Once the installer is downloaded, open it.
- Select a folder where you want to install the server.
- Click Install.
- Done!

Gameplay content
By default, Multi Theft Auto provides the minimal sandbox style gameplay of Grand Theft Auto. The gameplay can be heavily extended through the use of the Lua scripting language that has been embedded in the client and server software. Both the server hosting the game, as well as the client playing the game are capable of running and synchronizing Lua scripts. These scripts are layered on top of Multi Theft Auto’s game framework that consists of many classes and functions so that the game can be adjusted in virtually any possible way.
All gameplay content such as Lua scripts, images, sounds, custom models or textures is grouped into a «resource». This resource is nothing more than an archive (containing the content) and a metadata file describing the content and any extra information (such as dependencies on other resources).
Using a framework based on resources has a number of advantages. It allows content to be easily transferred to clients and servers. Another advantage is that we can provide a way to import and export scripting functionality in a resource. For example, different resources can import (often basic) functionality from one or more common resources. These will then be automatically downloaded and started. Another feature worth mentioning is that server administrators can control the access to specific resources by assigning a number of different user rights to them.

How to Play
MTA:SA offers a comprehensive scripting system that allows map creators to customize many elements of the game in order to create their own innovative game modes. The game incorporates as many single player elements as possible but some aspects are different.
The only other people on the map are your opponents, or allies if it is a team game. You can talk with them using the chatbox located in the left-hand corner of the screen by pressing T. To chat only to your team members, press Y.
MTA’s map editor allows map creators to add various GTA objects to their maps including roads, exploding barrels, ramps, buildings, hills and more. Not only this, but the objects can be scripted to move, change model and disappear. This offers a great deal of fun and variation to the gameplay.
Holding Tab will display the scoreboard. By default, only names and pings are displayed, but scripts can add extra columns that are specific to the particular gamemode being played. For example, a deathmatch game mode would definitely have a column listing total kills, but the map creator may choose to add extra columns for the number of deaths you have and how long you have been playing for, in order to put your score into perspective.

Первый выход MTA состоялся 8 февраля года под именем GTA3AM (GTA III Alternative Multiplayer). Была возможность играть в режиме двух игроков в GTA III. Играть можно было только находясь в автомобиле; если игрок покидал транспортное средство, он становился невидимым для других игроков. Со временем MTA был значительно улучшен и теперь позволяет играть в GTA Vice City, а также GTA III на ядре версий 0.x с поддержкой множества игроков и функций оригинальной игры. MTA для GTA Vice City и GTA III на данный момент имеет версию ядра 0.5, в то время как новое ядро, поддерживающее GTA San Andreas, в данный момент имеет версию 1.1.1.
Версия 0.5 предлагает два режима игры для GTA Vice City: схватка и трюки. Схватка имеет несколько различных классов игроков, которые играющий может выбрать, причём каждый класс имеет свои преимущества и недостатки. Режим «трюки» предоставляет игрокам возможность соревноваться и выполнять трюки благодаря наличию трамплинов, расставленных по всей карте.
Для GTA III доступна схватка на островах Портленд и Стонтон, где игрок появляется с ограниченным количеством оружия и может покупать дополнительное оружие в магазинах Ammunation на деньги, заработанные убийством противников. Никаких классов— каждый игрок имеет абсолютно такое же положение, как и его противники. Режим игры на острове Shoreside Vale предлагает игроку возможность выбрать скин и основное оружие, с которым он вступит в игру.
Команда первоначально планировала релиз 0.5.5 с исправлениями ошибок, новым стилем deathmatch для GTA Vice City и несколькими дополнениями к GTA3:MTA. Однако, они решили сосредоточить свои усилия над новым ядром, получившим кодовое имя «Blue», которое они использовали в версии ядра 1.x для GTA San Andreas.
MTA: San Andreas
Последняя версия MTA предназначена для Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas и основана на новом ядре, получившем кодовое имя «Blue», которое разрабатывалось в течение двух с половиной лет и продолжает развиваться. Разработчики сосредоточили свои силы на ядре Blue, так как оно дает игрокам все средства для создания собственных режимов игры, что позволяет заниматься разработкой режимов игры третьим лицам. Несколько основных режимов игры включены в пакет установки. Первый релиз MTA:SA Race предоставил возможность соревноваться на автомобилях, а также редактировать карты и создавать новые гонки. Релиз версии 1.0-dp1 добавил возможность передвигаться пешком, что в свою очередь означает возможность создания полноценных режимов класса Deathmatch.

- Blue загружает DLL вместе с игрой вместо инъектирования кода в память процесса. Это обеспечивает стабильность и позволяет не перемещать оригинальные SCM сценарии при старте мультиплеера.
- Полная интеграция означает, что графическая оболочка Multi Theft Auto полностью интегрирована в графическую оболочку GTA.
- Меньше глюков. Это достигнуто благодаря синхронизации каждого персонажа и устройства в игре, благодаря собственному меню паузы, что не позволяет игроку выйти в паузу, чтобы не получать повреждения, а также принудительному лимитированию кадров, для того чтобы каждый клиент имел одинаковую скорость игры.
- Улучшенная синхронизация предоставляет возможность использовать все анимации, персонажи, оружие и средства передвижения.
- Поддержка Lua-сценариев позволяет создавать игровые режимы практически любой степени сложности.
Продвинутая технология ядра Blue позволила создать полноценный WYSIWYG редактор с возможностью добавления контрольных точек, мест возрождения и пополнения здоровья. Также возможно добавлять на карту любые объекты из игры, такие как дороги, здания, деревья, а также границы местности. Редактор поставляется вместе с клиентской версией MTA:SA.
