Powers and Abilities

Cartoon Cat has many abilities that back up his reputation among all other monsters as a very dangerous creature. It is implied that he has shapeshifting abilities like a typical 30s rubber hose cartoons, able to change his size and the length, presence and absence of his limbs, as he is “malleable”, as Trevor states.

Again, this makes him very dangerous even to other creatures, as he’s able to defy the laws of physics like a cartoon would, making him stronger than most other monsters.

On Twitter, Trevor has said that Cartoon Cat’s anatomy changes a lot, by design. When asked if Cartoon Cat was a constantly shifting blob, Trevor replied that he sort of is, but he has more control over his body than that description would imply.

Trivia (General)

• The song «Trapped Mouse» is a remix of a Cartoon Cat song «Run Away» made by OR3O.
• The song name «Reruns» is a reference to a tweet from Trevor Henderson with the caption «reruns» followed by an illustration of Cartoon Cat
• There was an idea to make a mechanic where in the song «Reruns» it would change from 4 notes to 7 notes, the coders had a hard time and progress on the mod was delayed for about a month because of this mechanic, it was later removed as it never got fixed.
• The Demo was rushed as the devs wanted to release it before Halloween (which didn’t happen due to a lot of bug fixing).
• The Demo got withheld on GameBanana due to the minigame teaser (now solved), it violated many GB rules (opens too many windows at once, changes desktop wallpaper, shuts down PC), a lot of people thought it was a virus and reported the mod.

Minigame

• The minigame got removed on GameBanana due to it violating the GB rules and several reports.
• In the assets folder of the demo, there is a folder named «yes», upon opening the file you’ll find an application called «teaser.exe» which, as the name suggests, is a teaser of the minigame for the full mod. The following events occur:
  • Opening the app will open a window named «funni teaser».
  • In the minigame, you play as Luna Henderson holding a flashlight.
  • You enter a red room, there is a red key card to the left of the room, and a door at the top of the room.
  • There’s a yellow box at the top right of the screen that says «quest:find the keys».
  • You can use your mouse to click on the key card, a sound effect plays, presumably collecting it.
  • After doing so, you can walk to the door at the top of the room.
• Entering the door, a window named «NO ESCAPE» opens, you’ll find yourself in a corridor with black walls, with Cartoon Cat facing away at the end of the corridor.
  • Closing the window results in several other windows named «your mother» appearing, with the text «Try your luck» on them, you can close these windows and continue the minigame.
  • Walking into Cartoon Cat will open hundreds of windows named «I told you that i was going to put a reference lol» in the window there’s an image of SrPerez with the caption «Perez Pro».
  • And other smaller windows named «haha funni» with the text «NO ESCAPE» on them appearing as well.
  • The background of your PC to an image of Cartoon Cat taking his head off with the caption «THAT’S A NICE ARGUMENT UNFORTUNATELY YOUR MOTHER».
  • Then your PC restarts.
• A lot of people think that the minigame contained a virus, it doesn’t. Keneth YT has confirmed that it was just to scare the player, and wasn’t intended to harm the PC, just be sure to save all of your projects before playing it…
