Palm Bay Heights

Palm Bay Heights is the more «relaxed» end of the city, containing shops and hotels, as well as some small residential areas. The Southern area also contains some small high-rise buildings. Palm Bay’s Landmark is the Maplemount Country Club, which doubles as the base for the Cops in Cops and Robbers. Major landmarks include Big Surf Beach with complimentary Ferris Wheel, the Lawrence Road tunnel, which heads into the country area, and the large Paradise City sign on the Western Hills, which is visible even from Paradise Keys Bridge on Big Surf Island. This hill obscures any view of the main city from the country area.

Cop Cars

Main article: Cops and Robbers Pack

Cop Cars are a series of reprised Paradise Cars fitted with police packages. They can be driven just like any other vehicle but are required to play Online Cops and Robbers.

They were introduced with the Second Burnout Store Update for Burnout Paradise and Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box as premium downloadable content that had to be paid for, but are included for free as part of Burnout Paradise Remastered.

Token Cars

Token Cars are cars which can only be accessed by the player once they have found a token for it. Tokens for Token Cars are hidden around the whole map. Some are in obvious places where said vehicles may be found in real life, while others are truly hidden.

Multiplayer

Like its predecessor, players create servers and then other players can join these servers. This applies to both multiplayer and LAN. Whether or not there will be ranks in multiplayer or anything else has not been decided yet, so it is unknown if there will be an option to choose between ranked and unranked.

In single player, players once again can have other players join during this if they invite them, but now also if they have it set so friends can join them automatically. Players cannot join their friends either way if their friend is doing an event, however.

Another new feature is that the player can play with bots in the game as well.

DLC and expansion packs

DLC works on both Origin and Steam versions of the game provided that an Origin account is used in-game.

Neither the Cops and Robbers game mode and cars nor the Big Surf Island DLC packs were released for PC. An attempt to recreate these through a mod where made, see .

Version differencesedit

The Ultimate Box (the only version released on PC) is a compilation edition that contains the Party Pack DLC and all of the free updates and game-changing content packs released at the time for the console exclusive game.

Harbor Town

Harbor Town is an industrial area of Paradise City, especially in the Southern edge. The West area of this region contains the Rockridge Dam and the South Bay Expressway Suspension Bridge, two ways to get into the country area. Harbor Town’s finishing landmark is the Naval Yard, which also serves as the base for the Robbers team in the Cops and Robbers online game mode.

Silver Lake

Silver Lake represents the Eastern portion of the country area, and the only region without a finishing landmark. Silver Lake is also the name of the lake in the center of the country area, next to which lies a hidden abandoned Airfield. Other landmarks include the Dead Man’s Edge jump with its own restaurant, and a small island resort and beachfront in the Northern portion of the lake. Also, there is a secret ramp off of W.Crawford Drive that gives you access to N. Rouse Drive right above the tunnel in Heartbreak Hills.

Открыв все локации, вы сможете передвигаться по ним абсолютно беспрепятственно, ведь в игре действует система полной свободы действий. Так что делайте все, что хотите и что позволяет игровой процесс. Пока вы не участвуете в гонках, можете испытать свою машину на прочность. Езжайте в район трамплинов и прыгайте, создавая рекорды, крутите сальто и делайте различные трюки в воздухе. Их все можно запечатлеть на фотокамеру. Сбивайте заграждения, тараньте другие машины, взрывайте огромные бочки с газом, бензином, а также мчите на полной скорости и взлетайте над этим городом, проплывая в небе над многочисленными асфальтными мостами. Только не забудьте правильно приземлиться, иначе машине будет “крышка”. Прохождение игры зависит от получения новых прав. Если вы будете выигрывать все заезды, то начнете получать за это внутриигровую валюту и очки опыта. А потом, когда выиграете несколько состязания подряд, сможете получить новые права, дающие право перейти на следующий уровень. Так и развивается игровой процесс. В игре присутствует куча рекордов, которые можно ставить и получать за это различные призы. То же касается и необычного — параллельной парковки. Научитесь правильно ее делать и будете победителем. Features

According to Alex Ward, a developer from Criterion Games, this game is a «complete reinvention» of the Burnout series. He also said «To create truly next-generation gameplay, we needed to create a truly next-generation game, from the ground up.» Despite being in an open world the game still retains the high 60-frames-per-second frame rate most Burnout games have used. Originally compromises such as the lack of day and night cycles and weather conditions were made.

Records can be kept on a player’s drivers license and there are statistics such as fastest time and biggest crash for every street in the game.
Crash mode has been removed and replaced with Showtime. Unlike Crash Mode, the player now has full control over where they initiate Showtime.

Races are no longer specific lengths. Races are simply started by pulling up at any of the 120 traffic lights around Paradise City and applying the accelerator and brake at the same time. Online races have been given additional customization settings such as;

• Boost Group — Where the Host may choose the cap limit for cars used.
• Traffic — Choosing whether traffic is on or off. (No longer available for ranked races after the Cagney update).
• Start, Finish and Checkpoints — Online events can have up to 16 checkpoints. (No longer available for ranked races after the Cagney update).

The damage system has also undergone retooling. There are now two different types of crashes based on the condition of the car after the crash. If the player’s car manages to retain all four wheels then the player may drive out of the crash and continue playing. If a player’s car loses any of its wheels, flies outside of the game’s map or reaches «Critical damage» then the car is «wrecked» and the player will have to wait until their car is reset.

Cars can also be compressed and deform around objects as you crash into them. Alex Ward confirmed in the Official Crash FM podcast that cars may not be ripped in half as concept pictures and early information stated. There are also other cars which can be obtained by typing in a sponsor codes such as the Krieger Walmart WTR or the Hunter BestBuy Oval Champ although these codes only work for certain regions.

When starting the single player mode, players are assigned a learners permit and a single vehicle. Players must race and win events to earn points towards higher licenses. Licenses range from Class D to Criterion Elite. After earning a new license, events reset to allow completion towards their next license.

Vehicles now have manufacturer and model names which are loosely based on real-world cars but are mostly fictional. Customization is limited to color and can be done in real-time by driving through a paint shop or by selecting the color in the Junkyard. Other real-time changes include driving through a gas station or repair shop to automatically refill your Boost Bar and repair your car respectively. This allows you to extend a Road Rage event beyond the vehicles damage limit.

The online lobby system used by previous Burnout games has been replaced by a streamlined system known as «Easy Drive». While driving, players simply hit right on the D-Pad and the Easy Drive menu pops up on the bottom left hand corner of their screen. From there, players are able to invite another player from their friends list. Once friends have joined the game, the hosting player is then able to pick from a variety of events to play. A player can also join or host an open Freeburn Online session.

Транспорт класса трюкач отлично подходит для выполнения прыжков и бочек, ну а агрессор — это медленные, как правило, но очень мощные машины, способные легко превратить соперника в груду бесполезного металлолома.

Каждая гонка в игре происходит в необычном, но очень увлекательном режиме. Зачастую нам нужно не только обогнать соперника, но и выбить его с трассы и в прямом смысле этого слова уничтожить. Благодаря этому, кстати, можно пополнить свою шкалу нитро-ускорения, а поэтому особенно осторожные водители должны будут пройти моральную переквалификацию, чтобы легко влиться в геймплей Burnout Paradise. Нельзя не отметить, что игра полна режимов, пусть и довольно примитивных. Помимо обычной езды на время и на скорость, в некоторых состязаниях нас просят выполнять дрифт или трюки, что вносит большое разнообразие в игровой процесс.

Неплохим способом разбавить впечатления является мультиплеер и кооператив. Представьте все безумие Burnout Paradise Remastered, только вместо искусственного интеллекта на дороге реальные игроки, которые так же как и вы пытаются превратить соперника в пустое место. Ничего особенного онлайн-режимы из себя не представляют, но некоторую долю веселья им подарить удается, особенно, когда игра начинает надоедать в одиночных состязаниях.
